John Deere Join Over 210 Exhibitors at AgriScot

One of the world’s leading farm machinery manufacturers, John Deere, will use AgriScot as the first stop on a national tour where they will unveil their new 5M range of utility tractors.

This is the first ever appearance at AgriScot for this machinery giant but John Deere UK marketing manager, Chris Meacock, said “This is the ideal location for showing off these tractors which are aimed at livestock, mixed and arable farms.

Complementing the top of the range 5R tractors introduced last year, the tractors on show will be some of the 16 new tractor models brought out by the company and offer customers the same traditional high levels of quality, specification and value.

Meacock said the tractors which range from 55 to 100 horse power are particularly suitable for livestock farmers with their ability to carry out feeding, mowing, baling, fertiliser spreading and transport operations. He added they can be equipped with matching John Deere front loaders for a variety of materials handling applications.

The arrival of John Deere and other major machinery manufacturers such as Krone confirms AgriScot as the major event in the UK winter show calendar. The trade stand space in the three halls is now sold out with more than 210 exhibitors.

In addition to the newcomers to the show some exhibitors have been coming since AgriScot started, again confirmation that it is seen very much as a show where business is carried out. Farmers looking for their machinery dealers, feed suppliers and their professional advisors know they will see them at AgriScot.

This year, for the first time at AgriScot a special zone is reserved for firms involved in aspects of precision farming. This is an increasingly important growth area in agriculture and the bonus for farmers in embracing the benefits of the new technology on offer is the cash they can save.
