New Date for AgriScot

Following discussions between Scotland’s two main winter farming events, the organisers of AgriScot have announced that their event will now take place on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh.

Although AgriScot had been originally scheduled for November 21, it has been brought forward one week to accommodate the wishes of the Scottish Winter Fair who will now take the later date to allow livestock exhibitors to go on to the Royal Smithfield Show.

Event organiser Bill Romanis said:  “We were prepared to move the timing of our event and it is now imperative that all exhibitors and visitors know of the new date.

“Although we have had amicable and positive discussions with the Winter Fair organisers, we can confirm that in 2007 there will be two separate events.

“It is anticipated, however, that during the year we will be discussing further the possibility of a joint, single event for the future but meantime, we know our exhibitors will be anxious to get the revised AgriScot date into their 2007 event schedule.”
